Creative Nonfiction

Submissions are open! 

We start publishing fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and visual art/graphic narrative at the beginning of October. We'd love to see your piece be one of our first publications! See below for Nonfiction Submission requirements or head over to the submissions page to check out what all we accept!

In the meantime, check out our book reviews, horoscope, and interviews (including dogyard staff interviews! Get to know the dogs!). 

• We solely accept creative nonfiction under 1,800 words. You may submit up to three pieces of work as long as the combined amount of words is under this limit.

• We accept any creative nonfiction, whether that be memoir, lyric essay, research, hybrid work, and personal essay!

• Please submit all work as PDF, doc, or docx. 

• Please have all work in one font, preferably Times New Roman size 11. We love having fun with fonts but believe font choices outside of the norm should be purposeful.
